A once-in-a-lifetime event deserves a setting that is second-to-none. West Vancouver's mountains, endless sky, and blue waters of the Strait of Georgia unite to make the perfect backdrop for your special day. West Vancouver has the ideal outdoor space for you to exchange your "I dos".

All weddings taking place in the District of West Vancouver parks must have a valid permit.

Permit Options

West Vancouver offers couples two wedding permit options:

  • Non-exclusive Wedding Permit (or photo session)
    Duration: up to one hour 
    Cost: $145 + tax 
    Locations: Ambleside Park, Dundarave Park, Horseshoe Bay Boathouse Decks, John Lawson Park, Memorial Park, Whytecliff Park. Other locations may be available upon request with special permission. Not available: Lighthouse Park, Caulfeild Park.
  • Exclusive Area Wedding Permit
    Duration: up to three hours, inclusive of set-up and take-down
    Cost: $430 + tax 
    Locations: Whytecliff Park (Bassendale Terrace), Horseshoe Bay Boathouse Decks. Exclusive weddings are limited to these locations. Sorry—no exceptions. 

Wedding permits are restricted on weekends at specific high-demand parks during the summer season including Whytecliff Park.
 

Designated Ceremony Sites

Whytecliff Park
Known for its picturesque environment, Whytecliff Park and its Bassendale Terrace area create an ideal outdoor wedding location. The semi-secluded terrace offers views over the beach and Whyte Island, and is protected by native vegetation and natural rock.

Horseshoe Bay Boathouse Decks
The Horseshoe Bay Boathouse Decks offers a semi-private deck on the west side with wonderful views of the marina and Howe Sound.
