Public engagement is an important way for the District of West Vancouver to hear from residents and gather input on municipal initiatives, programs, and services. Your feedback helps inform our understanding of community priorities and perspectives.
Public Engagement levels
The District uses the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Spectrum of Public Participation to foster meaningful, transparent, and inclusive engagement with our community.
This globally recognized framework guides how we inform, consult, involve, collaborate with, and ultimately empower residents throughout the decision-making process. By applying the IAP2 Spectrum, we strive to build trust, ensure a diversity of voices are heard, and make decisions that truly reflect the community’s values and priorities.
IAP2 is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of public participation, and its principles are widely adopted by municipalities across Canada and around the world.
