The District of West Vancouver is serious about reducing waste. In 2016, new recycling stations were installed in all municipal buildings. The new bins provide additional opportunities for residents, visitors and staff to divert waste from the landfill.
The municipal building recycling program is similar to our successful residential recycling program, making it easier to recycle wherever you go:
- black is for garbage
- yellow is for paper
- green is for food scraps
- blue is for containers
Bins don't recycle; people do! It is important for all staff and the public to do their part and sort materials properly into the correct bins. Follow the bin signs to help you sort your materials.
