May 2026 update
The District has received a rezoning and development permit application for 6384 Bruce Street. The proposal is for a mixed-use building comprised of a ground-floor child daycare with four stacked townhouses above. At-grade parking will be provided on the site accessed from the lane with a time-limited pick-up/drop-off area on Bruce Street during operational hours for the daycare.
On June 8, 2026, Council considered first, second, and third readings of the proposed amending bylaw. Once conditions to adoption are met, the bylaw and development permit will be scheduled for final approval. Please note that the District is prohibited from holding a public hearing on the bylaw under provisions of the Local Government Act.
