At the July 6, 2026 Council meeting, Council approved a rezoning and development permit for 6384 Bruce Street to allow for a mixed-use building comprised of a ground-floor child daycare with four stacked townhouses above. At-grade parking is provided on the site accessed from the lane with a time limited pick-up/drop-off area on Bruce Street during operational hours for the daycare. Under provisions of the Local Government Act, Council was prohibited from holding a public hearing on the bylaw.
