2026 Student Video Contest: Safe Routes, Healthy Commutes

2026-student-video-contest-news

The District challenged students to submit videos about the importance of traffic safety and active commutes. Fewer cars around schools reduce congestion and traffic conflicts, while choosing to walk or cycle to school is good for students’ health and reduces pollution.

About 165 students registered to participate, and 47 videos were submitted into the contest by individuals and groups. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Entries were judged by members of District council and staff, with the top 10 videos receiving prizes. The judging criteria included creativity, a clear message, technical quality, and whether the students displayed an understanding of the theme and key messages.

The videos were imaginative and motivating, and showed the importance of safe and active transportation.
