2025 Student Video Contest: Reduce and Reuse

2025 Student Video Contest - homepage

The District challenged students to submit videos about the importance of everyday actions in reducing waste and reusing items at home, at school, or in our community. Focusing on reducing and reusing, over recycling and disposal, creates less litter, reduces collection costs, and decreases the resources needed to produce items in the first place.

Of the 40 students registered to participate, 14 videos were submitted to the contest by individuals and groups.

Entries were judged by the Mayor, members of District Council, and staff, with the top 10 videos receiving prizes. The judging criteria included creativity, a clear message, technical quality, and whether the students displayed an understanding of the theme and key messages.

The videos were creative and inspiring, and showed the importance of reducing waste and reusing items all year long. Thank you to everyone who participated!
