To accommodate work to install a new stormwater main, several trees and part of the centre median on Marine Drive have been removed. The area has been temporarily paved with asphalt.
We have heard concerns from businesses and residents about the removal of the median and the timeline for its full restoration. District staff are working with the Ambleside Dundarave Business Improvement Association to address these concerns.
The District will share further updates closer to the completion of the stormwater main work, which is expected to be completed by early September. We will continue to provide updates on the impacts and schedule of construction related to this development when available.
