Following neighbourhood notification, the Director of Planning, Environment and Development Services approved this development permit (25-102) for 4763 Pilot House Road on January 19, 2026 to allow conversion of an existing accessory building to a coach house. The building was constructed under an approved heritage alteration permit and building permit in 2011 and the accessory space on the second floor was subsequently converted into a coach house.
The development permit allows for zoning variances as per the proposed plans including having: more than 20.5 square metres of vehicle storage space on the main floor; no coach house living area provided on the main floor; and the second floor having more than 60% of the main floor area for a structure with a pitched roof.
