June 2024 Update

Following public notification of this proposal, the Director of Planning & Development Services approved this development permit on June 19, 2024.

Background

The owners of 4191 Rockridge Road have submitted an application for a Coach House Development Permit and concurrent Wildfire Hazard Development Permit 24-005 to construct a detached secondary suite (coach house).

The proposal would allow for a two-storey coach house to be located on the subject property. The proposed coach house complies with the applicable development permit guidelines. No variances to the Zoning Bylaw are requested. Due to the subject property’s location within the Wildfire Hazard Development Permit Area, a concurrent Wildfire Hazard Development Permit is also required for the proposed coach house.

Proposed plans

Council has delegated the approval of detached secondary suite (coach house) development permits to the Director of Planning & Development Services, subject to public input. Please provide your written comments no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2024, to make them available to the Director for their consideration.
