After an inspection by the District (during construction) of the approved coach house, it was identified that there was an inconsistency between the actual coach house height and the approved plans. A variance to the maximum building height has been requested to complete construction of the coach house. The proposed amendment to DP 22-085 would allow for an increase in the maximum roof height of 0.11 metres (4.32 inches).
Council has delegated the approval of minor Development Permits for a coach house to the Director of Planning, Development & Environment Services, subject to public input. Following public notification of this proposal, the Acting Director of Planning, Development & Environment Services approved the development permit amendment with variance to height on April 28, 2025.
April 2023
Following public notification of this proposal, the Director of Planning and Development Services approved this development permit on April 21, 2023 to allow for a two-storey detached secondary suite (coach house).
June 2022
The District received an application for a Development Permit to construct a detached secondary suite (coach house) at 2272 Jefferson Avenue. The proposal is to site a two-storey coach house in the rear yard.
