Projects by the District of West Vancouver and partner agencies with upcoming work are posted here.

When necessary, construction signage and traffic control personnel will be on site to assist traffic flow and pedestrian safety. Please use extra caution while travelling through construction zones.

Major event road closures are also posted on this page.

Short term work impacting traffic

July 6–10
- Expect temporary single lane alternating traffic on on Ballantree Road from Craigmohr Drive to the north-end of the road due to pavement repair from previous Fortis BC gas main installation.
- Construction will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
July 6–November 1
- Expect temporary lane closures and traffic delays along Cypress Bowl Road due to road reconstruction work.
- Work will be carried out on an extended two-shift schedule (up to 24 hours per day), six days per week from Monday to Saturday.
- Cyclists are not permitted to travel along Cypress Bowl Road until November 1, 2026, due to extreme hazards, including gravel surface conditions and ongoing construction activities.
June 22 – July 2026
- Expect temporary single-lane alternating traffic on Eagleridge Drive between Marine Drive and Highway 1 (Exit 2) due to road construction.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- The initial concrete and drainage works are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. This work will be followed by milling and paving work, tentatively scheduled for mid-July.
July 13–22
- Expect temporary road closure at 865 Eyremount Drive for installation of a new pole, electrical maintenance by BC Hydro, and a new pilaster on the pole.
- Construction will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
July 13–November 1
- Expect temporary lane closures and traffic delays on Highway 1 between Taylor Way and Nelson Creek Bridge due to highway resurfacing.
- Westbound: One lane will remain open during construction. Work will take place Monday to Friday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Sunday from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
- Eastbound: One lane will remain open during construction. Work will take place Monday to Friday from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Sunday from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
- Ramps along Highway 1 within the work zone may be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  Outside of the scheduled work hours, all lanes on Highway 1 will remain open to the public.
July 20 – September 2026
- Expect traffic and parking impacts, potential delays, road closure, and detours on Westcot Road due to watermain upgrades.
- Local access will remain; however, nearby residents may experience temporary delays, access changes, and parking restrictions.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or as necessary to complete the project. The timeline is subject to change depending on ground conditions, weather, crew availability, and construction progress.
Current traffic impacts:
Starting the week of July 20, the Taylor Way access road to Westcot Road is expected to be closed for approximately two weeks. During this time, residents will need to access Westcot Road from Wildwood Lane. Follow posted detour signage as needed.
July 14
- Expect temporary road closure at 3024 Procter Avenue for BC Hydro pole replacement.
- Construction will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
March 9 – July 2026
- Expect temporary road closure, parking impacts, and potential delays on 11th Street between Inglewood Avenue Road and Mathers Avenue due to watermain upgrades work.
- A small section (up to one block) at a time will be closed on 11th Street as work progresses.
- Local access will remain; however, there may be temporary delays and parking restrictions. Traffic impacts will depend on construction progress.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or as necessary to complete the project. The timeline is subject to change, dependent on ground conditions, weather, and crew availability.
July 2–31
- Expect temporary single lane alternating traffic on 17th Street, between Kings Avenue and Inglewood Avenue, and on Inglewood Avenue, between 16th Street and 17th Street, for approximately four weeks due to sanitary sewer upgrades.
- Through access between 16th Street and Inglewood Avenue will be temporarily restricted during work hours.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or as necessary to complete the project. The timeline is subject to change, dependent on ground and weather conditions.

Long-term work impacting traffic

February 23 – September 2026
- Expect traffic and parking impacts, potential delays and detours on Hadden Drive between Mathers Avenue and Southborough Drive due to sanitary system upgrades.
- Expect road closure on Hadden Drive between Stevens Drive and Southborough Drive starting the second week of June. Local access will remain; however, there may be temporary delays and parking restrictions. Follow the posted detour routes, if needed.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or as necessary to complete the project.
- The timeline is subject to change, dependent on ground conditions, weather, and contractor availability.
January 6 to August 2026
- Mathers Avenue and 11th Street will remain open; however, there may be times when single-lane alternating traffic may be in place due to upgrade works at the 11th Street pump station. Parking will be restricted at times.
- The pathway connected to the highway overpass will remain open.
- Construction will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday. This project is expected to take 12 months.
June 4 – December 2026
- For vehicles heading southbound on 31st Street, the right-turn lane onto Marine Drive will be closed for BC Hydro work followed by a full intersection upgrade.
- During construction, traffic turning right onto Marine Drive will share the through lane.
- Work will take place Monday to Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; however, the right-turn lane closure will remain in effect 24/7 until the intersection upgrade is complete.
- The westbound bus stop (ID: 54627) will be relocated approximately 400 metres west of its current location for the duration of this upgrade.
June 9
- Marine Drive: the westbound lane will be closed; expect single lane alternating traffic
- 31st Street: expect road closure in both direction, except for transit and residents with driveways in the closure zone
June 10
- Marine Drive: the westbound lane will be closed; expect single lane alternating traffic
- 31st Street: expect road closure in both direction to all traffic, including transit and residents
- The northbound bus stop (ID: 54713) on 31st Street and Dickinson Crescent will be closed during the day
