During this holiday season, consider supporting those in our community who may need a helping hand.
Whether you're donating money, clothing, toys, or food items to charitable causes, or simply helping a neighbour in need, there are many ways to give.
20th Annual West Vancouver Emergency Services Gift Drive
West Vancouver Police, West Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, and West Vancouver Transit are teaming up once again for the Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Bureau. Until Friday, December 19, drop off your donations of new, unwrapped gifts for children aged 18 or younger. səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) Christmas Hamper and Toy Drive
This year, the səlilwətaɬ campaign is inspired by one of their most important cultural values:
ʔə ̓y sqʷeləwən (pronounced “aytz-squal-owen”), which translates as “good feelings”, a commitment to caring for one another. In this spirit, let’s give the joy of the holiday season to səlilwətaɬ families. A monetary donation can support important initiatives, and you can also drop-off new toys for children and youth ages 0 to 18 at the Community Development Office at 3075 Takaya Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Snow Angel initiative
Heavy snowfall can cause challenges for some residents, particularly elderly citizens and residents with illnesses, disabilities, or mobility challenges. West Vancouver’s Snow Angels initiative connects residents in need with Snow Angel volunteers who assist with clearing snow from their sidewalk or walkway in the event of snow accumulations of two centimetres or more. Volunteer to be a Snow Angel.
