Every year, the Mayor and Council, the Municipal Manager, and District staff work together to create an annual budget and a Five-Year Financial Plan. This budget balances today’s needs with future planning, helping ensure financial stability over the long term. It pays for services provided by the District of West Vancouver, including police, fire and rescue, bylaw enforcement, parks, community centres, cultural programs, the library, capital projects, and much more.
We want to hear what matters most to you. Your feedback will help guide decisions about 2026 services, tax rates, and budget priorities.
Take the questionnaire
The budget questionnaire is part of the first step in hearing from the public. We want your feedback on the municipality’s budget priorities before Council starts its budget discussions.
By completing this short questionnaire, you’ll play a direct role in shaping a budget that reflects the community’s values and priorities. Council will review your input before beginning budget discussions.
A second round of engagement will take place in early winter, when the proposed budget is shared with the community for review.
This questionnaire is open from Monday, August 25 to Friday, September 12 at 4 p.m. and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
