Did you know that there are many residents of West Vancouver who turn to the services of the food bank for support each month? Of the residents being served, 25% are children and 13% are seniors, with thousands of food items being provided every year.
For this very worthy cause, Mayor Sager is asking for your help to win a friendly competition between West Vancouver and other municipalities in the Lower Mainland.
“Show your community pride and a little friendly competition as we work together to directly help those in West Vancouver and the North Shore who benefit from the services of the food bank," says Mayor Sager. “The GVFB has challenged us to raise $25,000 in May, and we want to surpass that number knowing that it will benefit the people who need support the most.”
