Potential Canada Post service disruptions

Canada Post - June 2025

The 2025 Property Tax due date is July 2. Due to the potential of a Canada Post strike, we do not recommend using mail as a method of payment, as it may not arrive on time.

Please note that postmarks will not be accepted as proof of payment date.

To avoid a potential penalty, we recommend using one of the alternative payment options listed below:

  • Online or telephone banking: add the District as a payee and make payment through your bank. For a list of bank payee names, please visit www.westvancouver.ca/tax
  • Financial institution: Pay at an ATM or in person at your bank branch. Be sure to retain your receipt as proof of payment date.
  • Drop box: Located at the entrance to Municipal Hall.
  • Municipal Hall (in person – 750 17th Street): Pay by cash, cheque, or direct debit between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
