Pay parking in Ambleside Park and physical pay station pilot begins on September 15

The District of West Vancouver’s pay parking program now includes Ambleside Park, effective Monday, September 15, 2025. Pay parking is in effect in all areas of the park, except where Squamish Nation is the rightsholder.

Pay parking is in effect year-round, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

District of West Vancouver residents are eligible for an annual parking pass at no cost. To qualify, applicants must apply and provide proof of current vehicle registration to a West Vancouver address. Applications are subject to verification, which takes approximately two business days to process. Apply for a resident pass at impark.com/westvan.

Visitors to the park can pay for parking using the hangTag and PayByPhone mobile apps or on the Impark website. Signage with QR codes linking users to pay for parking is available throughout the park.

Also beginning September 15, the District is piloting two physical pay stations, one in Lighthouse Park and one in Whytecliff Park, for a trial period of one year. In addition to the existing mobile apps, visitors in these parks can pay for parking using a credit card at the pay station.

For visitors and non-resident park users, hourly parking rates will apply. Vehicles with a Veterans or Memorial Cross licence plate and vehicles which display a valid accessible parking placard are exempt.
