As the weather becomes warmer, parks and other outdoor areas in West Vancouver will get busier. Now is an important time to remember to be community-minded while enjoying our parks.

  • Keep your dog on a leash where indicated.
  • Please take your waste home and keep the park clean.
  • Wildfire risk increases during the hot summer months. Please be mindful of fire bans and restrictions, and obey all signage posted in parks. Learn more about barbecue and fire restrictions in West Vancouver.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted at parks or beaches.
  • Alcohol consumption is allowed in certain areas. Please visit westvancouver.ca/alcohol for locations. 
  • Picnic spots and shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit westvancouver.ca/picnic for more information.
  • Pay parking is in effect for Lighthouse, Whyte Lake/Nelson Canyon, Whytecliff, Cypress Falls, and Seaview Walk parks. Visit westvancouver.ca/payparking to learn more.
  • Parking lots fill up quickly in warmer months, please consider taking public or active transportation. If you drive, follow parking regulations and guidance from traffic control personnel.
