The District is moving forward with updates to the Gleneagles Adventure Park, including the construction of three pickleball courts and a new street-style skateboarding area.
At their regular meeting on Monday, February 9, Council approved the recommendations in the Gleneagles Youth Facilities and Pickleball Courts report. Staff will issue a Request for Proposal to design and construct the new pickleball courts and skateboarding area and repaint the existing skateboard bowl at the Gleneagles Adventure Park. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer and is expected to be completed in fall 2026.

These improvements will enhance and expand recreation opportunities for both youth and adults, creating a multigenerational park space for the local community to gather and enjoy.
The pickleball courts will replace the existing bike terrain park. Staff will continue to explore the feasibility of constructing a pump track on the BC Hydro land across from Gleneagles Community Centre and report back to Council at a future date.
