March 2026 update: Since this post was published, MNP has been appointed receiver and manager of this project. For the most current information, please visit westvancouver.ca/2468marinedrive.
A new mixed commercial and residential building at 2452 to 2496 Marine Drive is currently in the early phase of construction. Terra Contracting is working on the behalf of Dundarave Beachside LP to install a new stormwater main. This work is expected to be complete in mid-August 2025.
To accommodate construction, several trees and part of the centre median on Marine Drive, between 24th Street and 25th Street, have been removed. The median will be fully reinstated at the end of the building project, including new curbs, trees, and plantings. In the meantime, the area will be temporarily paved with asphalt until final restoration takes place after the development construction is complete.
Temporarily paving the area will allow for use of the entire roadway width to effectively manage traffic and parking impacts. This will help facilitate construction timelines and minimize impacts to the neighbourhood during the next phases of work. The median will be restored after all construction is complete to achieve the best finished look for the streetscape.
During July and August, temporary parking restrictions and traffic control measures will be in effect on Marine Drive between 24th Street and 25th Street. Construction signage and traffic control personnel will be on site as required to assist with pedestrian safety and traffic flow. For traffic updates, please visit westvancouver.ca/traffic.
Staff are working with the developer on permit approvals to move the development forward and will continue to provide updates on the impacts and schedule of the building demolition and new construction when available.
