After being the sole e-bike operator on the North Shore since 2021, Lime will today announce to customers that they will be leaving the area on June 30, once their permit to operate expires.

A new e-bike share program operator will be announced in the coming weeks to continue the program in the area.

Four years ago, the City of North Vancouver (CNV), District of North Vancouver (DNV), and District of West Vancouver (DWV) launched a pilot e-bike share program with Lime. Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) joined the program in 2024. In 2023, North Shore municipal Councils directed staff to make the program permanent.

“We are excited to continue offering the e-bike share program on the North Shore. Thanks to the program, the North Shore has experienced growing numbers of e-bike users as residents and visitors alike enjoyed the availability of more sustainable transportation options,” said Jennifer Draper, Deputy Director, Transportation, City of North Vancouver. “We look forward to announcing a new service provider soon, and to the continued growth of this valuable program for our communities."
