Learn about West Vancouver's proposed 2026 budget

2026 Budget - news post

From Wednesday, January 7 to Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the District of West Vancouver is inviting the community to learn about the proposed 2026 budget. This engagement period is focused on informing residents and businesses about what the budget funds, the factors that shape it, and how it supports the District’s long‑term financial resilience and sustainability. Community priorities were gathered through the budget questionnaire that was open from August 25 to September 12, 2025 and helped inform the preliminary 2026 budget.

What the budget supports
  • Day-to-day services including police; fire and rescue; bylaw enforcement; parks; community centres and recreation; cultural programs; and the library
  • Maintenance and renewal of District assets and capital projects
  • Planning for long-term financial sustainability
