Evolve e-bike - news

The District of West Vancouver has joined the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) in welcoming BCAA’s Evolve as the new operator for the North Shore E-bike Share Program. Following a successful pilot program, the e-bike program will continue to offer a convenient and sustainable way for residents and visitors to hop on an electric bike and commute, run errands, and explore the North Shore.

BCAA was selected following a comprehensive process to select the best fit for servicing the community and meeting the program’s objectives.

The new fleet of e-bikes will begin launching in West Vancouver on Friday, February 13. The rollout will continue with more bikes being added to the fleet and is expected to be completed by April 2026. Once fully launched, there will be over 300 Evolve e-bikes and over 130 parking zones on the North Shore.

“Our Evolve team is thrilled to offer locals and visitors in West Van an easy, fun way to move around and explore even more of the North Shore, whether that’s visiting local shops and neighbourhoods, getting to and from work, or just spending time outdoors” says Leanne Buhler, Head of Evolve E-Bike & E-Scooter Share. “We’re proud to continue BCAA’s support for the District of West Vancouver’s leading role in delivering more options beyond personal car travel.”
