With snow in the forecast this weekend, and out of an abundance of caution, a State of Local Emergency has been declared for three properties in Horseshoe Bay. This declaration is related to a structure located on private property that is at risk of collapse should there be heavy snowfall.
The decision was made to place an Evacuation Order on this property and the two neighbouring properties to protect residents from the risk of potential collapse.
The District is working in collaboration with North Shore Emergency Management (NSEM) through this event.
