Tribute Trees offer you an opportunity to celebrate and beautify the community. Donating a Tribute Tree directly enhances the landscape of West Vancouver and provides a living tribute to an individual or event of your choice.
A portion of the donation is directed back to the community.
All Tribute Tree donations are tax-deductible and you will be provided with a receipt. The Tribute Tree program is a partnership between the Parks Department and the Kiwanis North Shore Housing Society.
Most Tribute Trees are $1,500 (Tribute Trees at the Capilano View Cemetery are $2,000). The donation is evenly split between partners. The Kiwanis Society distributes its portion to charity and the Parks Department uses its portion to purchase, plant, and maintain the tree, and acquire and install the brass plaque.
The program is active in the following locations:
- John Richardson Park (located at the corner of Fulton Avenue and Marine Drive)
- The Gleneagles Community Centre
- the north part of Taylor Way
- Capilano View Cemetery
- Horseshoe Bay Park
The Parks Department will maintain your Tribute Tree for 10 years.
If you are interested in donating a tribute tree, please email the Parks Department ([email protected]) with your contact details and preferred location from our current list.
