The Walk for Alzheimer’s is Canada’s largest fundraising event, raising money to support programs and services for people affected by dementia. The event takes place in communities across the country on the same weekend at the end of May each year.
The North Shore event begins at John Lawson Park. After the opening speeches, participants take a walk along the Ambleside promenade before returning to the event site. Volunteers will be stationed along the route, and light refreshments will be available in the park, along with entertainment such as live music and children’s face painting.
