Following public notification of this proposal, the Director of Planning, Development & Environment Services approved this Development Permit on April 3, 2025 to allow construction of a detached secondary suite (coach house).
Summary
The approved permit would allow for the existing garage to be converted into a one-storey coach house to be located within the rear yard of the subject property. The following Zoning Bylaw variances were approved as per the proposed plans:
- Where a rear site line is shared with an open lane, the front entry of the coach house will face away from the open lane, instead of to the open lane.
- Reduce the minimum side yard setback of the RS5 Zone from 1.52 m to 1.01 m
