North shore homeowners can access rebates and zero-interest financing to help make the switch to a heat pump and energy efficiency upgrades to their homes.
- The CleanBC Better Homes program rebates for homes converting from natural gas, oil, wood or propane to an all-electric heat pump ended on Friday, April 11, 2025. You may still be able to apply for work completed or quotes received before this date.
- The CleanBC Energy Savings Program offers enhanced rebates energy efficient upgrades for low – and middle – income households. NEW income-based rebates also available under the CleanBC Energy Savings Program for condos and apartments
- The Canada Greener Homes Program offers zero-interest financing to cover the costs of home energy upgrades, including heat pumps.
- As of Friday, April 11, 2025, the Province is no longer offering rebates for homes converting from natural gas, oil, wood or propane to an all-electric heat pump under the CleanBC Better Homes Program. Therefore, the District's top-up rebates for electric service upgrades ($1,500) and heat pump water heaters ($1,000) will also no longer be offered as of Friday, April 11, 2025. You may still be able to apply rebates and top-ups for work completed or quotes received before this date. Homeowner eligibility for the top-ups will be automatically assessed through the CleanBC Better Homes Program.
