The West Vancouver Streamkeeper Society invites families to take part in its annual Adopt-a-Fish event at Memorial Park on Saturday, April 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Start your morning with a fish-themed storytime at the West Vancouver Memorial Library, then head over to Memorial Park to collect your official Adopt-a-Fish certificate and help release a juvenile Coho salmon into the wild.
The event also features fun, family-friendly activities, including games and colouring stations for children. Educational displays will offer information about protecting and sustaining wild Pacific salmon populations and their habitats.
Adopt-a-Fish is open to elementary-aged children and their families. The event will take place rain or shine, and no registration is required.
