Lookout Reservoir is located in the second hairpin on Cypress Bowl Road, opposite Barrett’s View in Cypress Provincial Park, and provides potable water storage for the District. Construction of a second reservoir in the same location is underway to double the storage and firefighting capacity of the existing water system. The additional capacity is needed to ensure adequate water supply for residents and potential firefighting use in the Rodgers Creek area.
Timeline
Construction began in September 2023 and is anticipated to be completed in November 2024. However, the timeline is subject to change depending upon weather and contractor schedule. Expected hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal.
