As part of the Roads Capital Program, the District has begun design work to replace the Keith Road Bridge over Brothers Creek. This bridge is located on the 400 block of Keith Road, west of the intersection with Keith Place. The existing Keith Road Bridge, constructed in 1952, has reached the end of its service life and requires upgrading to modern seismic standards. Recent inspections have confirmed that the structure remains safe for use in the short term.
Contractors will begin preliminary geotechnical and site survey work in the area throughout May and June 2021. When possible, all work will take place Monday to Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The project timeline is subject to change due to weather and contractor availability.
The timeline has not yet been confirmed, but construction work to replace the bridge will not begin before Spring 2022.
