Updated November 24: Activities at District community centres affected by new Provincial Health Officer order

Following the Provincial Health Order on November 19, the District will reinstate a number of programs and services at community recreation facilities. 

Programs and services that will be reinstated starting Wednesday, November 25:

  • minor hockey and ringette game play—under viaSport's phase 3 requirements with the exception of no spectators and no travel
  • private, semi-private, and group hockey lessons
  • adult hockey rentals
  • group skating lessons
  • group swimming lessons
  • outdoor sport programs 
  • pre-registered timeslots at the Youth Hub at Park Royal, Bay Scene at Gleneagles Community Centre, and the Youth Lounge at West Vancouver Community Centre

Programs that will be reinstated starting Monday, November 30 and onward:

  • badminton, table tennis, pickleball, and volleyball pre-registered timeslots and sessions with reduced numbers 
  • badminton, tennis, basketball, and Sportball lessons with skills and drills only 

Programs that are suspended following the health order:

  • aquafit
  • indoor fitness, yoga, and chair aerobics classes
  • martial arts
  • dance
  • gymnastics
  • basketball pre-registered timeslots

District staff will notify program registrants impacted by the changes, and refunds will be processed automatically for any cancelled classes.
