Person at West Vancouver Community Centre tests positive for COVID-19

Mar 31, 2021

Today, the District of West Vancouver has been informed that a person who was at the West Vancouver Community Centre (2121 Marine Drive) on Sunday, March 28 has tested positive for COVID-19.

Vancouver Coastal Health will follow up with the individual and anyone who has been a close contact.

The West Vancouver Community Centre is open today for registered programs. The District has health protocols in place that include sanitizing program spaces at District facilities regularly throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution, certain areas will undergo an additional enhanced cleaning tonight.

We know that British Columbia is still in the pandemic and we are taking all appropriate precautions. We encourage everyone in our community to take steps to stay safe and healthy and do their part to reduce transmission:

  • stay home if you are sick
  • wear a mask in all indoor public areas in accordance with Provincial rules/guidelines
  • maintain two metres distance from others at all times
  • wash your hands often
