Effective immediately and until further notice, the public is now prohibited from attending all local government meetings in person.

The December 2 order from the Provincial Health Officer prohibits public attendance at Council meetings, public hearings and committee meetings. On Friday, December 4, the District received an email from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs clarifying that the December 2, 2020, Provincial Health Officer order on gatherings and events was amended and now requires local governments to prohibit the public from attending all Council meetings, public hearings and committee meetings in person.
