Public Hearings were held at 6 p.m., and the Special Council meeting started immediately after the Public Hearings were closed.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
Zoning Bylaw Amendment to allow a Licensed Childcare at 1050 Esplanade Avenue
The District has received a formal zoning amendment application to allow licensed childcare for up to seven children in the secondary suite of the single-family house located at 1050 Esplanade Avenue. Council considered the application and read the bylaw the first time at the November 8 Council meeting.
Council received input from the applicant on the proposed rezoning and moved to the next item.
This public hearing is being held to consider zoning updates to enable missing middle forms of ground-oriented housing, such as infill, multiples, and row housing, as supported by the Horseshoe Bay Local Area Plan.
Council read the bylaw a first, second, and third time at the November 8 Council meeting.
Council received input from the public and closed the public hearings.
SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Zoning Bylaw Amendment to allow a Licensed Childcare at 1050 Esplanade Avenue
The proposed bylaw amendment received first reading at the November 8 Council meeting. Council held a public hearing on December 7, 2021 (see above).
Council read Zoning Bylaw No. 4662, 2010, Amendment Bylaw No. 5160, 2021 a second and third time. Adoption will take place at a later date.
