2480 and 2510 Wentworth Avenue
The District has received a preliminary development application for the development of four properties located at, and adjacent to, 2510 Wentworth Avenue and 2480 Wentworth Avenue.
In the spring of 2020, the preliminary plans included a total of 585 residential units. The applicant held a preliminary public information meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at The Beach House Restaurant. The format of the meeting was held in a drop-in/open house format whereby members of the public were invited to attend, view display material, ask questions and share feedback. This meeting was held as a preliminary introduction to a potential redevelopment application. Note: The meeting was development-sponsored and was not a District held public consultation or hearing.
Following the public information meeting, in the fall of 2020, the proposal was modified to reduce the number of units to 279.
On December 14, 2020 Council received and considered an information report that describes the revised preliminary proposal.
A formal development application has not been submitted to the District’s Planning and Development Services department. Provided the applicant submits a formal development application, the District will process the development application in compliance with the Development Procedures Bylaw which requires public notification and consultation.
