Do you have fruit flies buzzing around your kitchen container? Here's a simple and effective way to control unwanted fruit flies in your home:
1. Put apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap in a small glass or jar and give it a swirl to mix.
2. Cover the glass with cling wrap or a bit of newspaper and secure with a plastic band.
3. Poke several small holes in the top.
4. Wait. The fruit flies will not be able to resist the bait!
Ditch or replace your trap after a week. You can compost a paper trap cover and reuse the cling wrap on your next trap.
Tip: Consider washing all produce when you bring it home. This will reduce the number of fruit fly larvae waiting to hatch
