Volunteer Advisory Roundtable

The District of West Vancouver's Parks, Culture and Community Services division is beginning the process of evaluating the current volunteer model and formulating a sustainable volunteer plan to support the community with a variety of volunteer opportunities for all ages.

We are seeking the expertise and insight of local community members and stakeholders who would like to serve on this advisory roundtable. Members would assist District staff by providing feedback and acting as a sounding board as we review best practices and compare current operations related to the Parks, Culture, and Community Services volunteer model.

Examples of volunteer opportunities for Parks, Culture, and Community services include summer camp, administrative, food and service, special event, driving, and program assistance volunteer positions, to name a few.

The Volunteer Advisory Roundtable will be made up of approximately eight to ten members including various stakeholder groups with varying levels of community involvement representing a range of backgrounds, interests, and expertise. Meetings will be held approximately six to eight times during the process. The first meeting is expected to take place at the end of July.

All members of the community will be able to contribute to the Volunteer Plan process through a range of engagement activities including stakeholder meetings, community events, and surveys.

Deadline to apply: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
