Norooz Fire Festival
Entry: $5 for adults (children enter free)
The 28th annual Persian New Year celebration includes live music, fire jumping, amazing food and dance performances. This event is based on traditions regarding the last Wednesday of the Persian Calendar known as Charashanbe Suri. Everyone is invited to come to the celebration!
Fire jumping will take place from 6–10:30 p.m.
Festival tours: Organizations with groups of staff, volunteers, community members or program participants can sign up for tours of the Fire Festival and learn more about the customs of Norooz. Tours are offered from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register by Wednesday, March 7; spaces are limited.
The following roads will be closed to vehicles from 6 p.m. to midnight:
- no vehicle access into Ambleside Park
- 13th Street from Marine Drive to Argyle Avenue
- 1300 block of Bellevue Avenue
- 1400–1600 block of Argyle Avenue
