The Fire Prevention Office works with the community to teach safe fire behaviours to help you in the event of an emergency. We offer Fire & Safety Education Programs for children and adults, and programs can be customized to meet the requirements of any group. Please contact Lieutenant Marcia James for more information.

North Shore/Coast Garibaldi Health Services’ provides a 24-hour, seven-day a week link to a central location for over 650 North Shore residents. Through a lightweight pendant and a two-way telephone home unit, seniors enjoy a safer, more relaxed lifestyle in the comfort of their own home — always knowing that real time assistance is available at the push of a button.

Remembering When - A Fire and Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults

Remembering When was developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help older adults live safely at home for as long as possible.
